CERN is the world’s largest laboratory for particle physics, located near Geneva. It is the birthplace of the World Wide Web and home of the Large Hadron Collider where the Higgs particle was found in 2012. CERN makes their technical knowledge, skills and expertise available to companies, research institutes and entrepreneurs through an active support to Knowledge Transfer activities. Founded in 1954, the CERN laboratory is one of Europe’s first joint ventures and currently has 22 member states.
